Gary Banks

Started a radio career in his bedroom as a youngster with a tape recorder and a microphone, talking over music played on the radio progressing to using his parents turntable with a variety of vinyls.

Eventually he was enticed to join SHOUT! FM, Liverpool John Moores University Radio station during his degree studying French and Spanish. He co-presented the Friday Fetish, a two-hour music and chat morning show from 1998-2000 which included a trip to London with the station as it was nominated for a Student Radio Award and picking up tips from some of the nations' more successful presenters.
